Hill Cumorah Pageant!!

Ok, so we do realize that we are almost a year late with this post, but the past few months have been crazy.  We are just now having time to catch up.

For two and a half weeks last July, we had the opportunity to participate as cast members in the Hill Cumorah Pageant.  It was AMAZING!!!  We were there with my whole family and stayed in an RV, all nine of us together.  I was cast as a Lamanite dancer and a destruction scene stunt  victim (my stunt consisted of jumping and rolling off of one stage down to a lower one.  It gave me some nice bruises).  Kurt was the angel that stands at the tree of life, and a blind man who is healed by the Savior when he comes to the Americas.

Every cast member has an assignment for when they are not in rehearsals.  We got to be primary leaders with 7 and 8 year olds.  They were so cute, and we had a lot of fun with them.  Here are some of the girls doing my hair.

This is us in our costumes with some of my siblings.

Here we are in the sacred grove with some of the boys in the primary.

Us in our costumes again, but this is Kurt in his angel costume.  I always knew he was an angel!!

Kurt being healed during the scene when Christ comes to the Americas.  I think this was everyone's favorite scene.

On the last night of performances, Kurt's family came up from New Jersey to see us.  The next morning we went back with them to New Jersey.  They are going to be in the pageant this year, and we are so excited for them.  There is also a good view of the amazing stage in the background in this picture.

Here is the RV that held all nine of us for 17 days.  It was definitely close quarters in there, but we loved it.

This is everybody in their costumes.  It was such an amazing experience to portray scenes from the Book of Mormon and share our testimonies during the pageant.
